Why You Need New York CPR Training

By Raymond Rogers

Emergency medical conditions require prompt medical intervention whether or not a hospital is close by. Such medical intervention, if not done immediately, may lead to severe and permanent damage of vital organs of patients such as cell death, cardiac arrhythmia, partial or complete brain damage or even death.

An example of emergencies that make people remember the hospital is syncope. Syncope is also called fainting or collapsing. This happens when the person has lost some memory and has now become unconscious. In cases like this, cardiopulmonary resuscitation wins the victim over from the shackles of death. Although you don't need a one-year training for this simple first aid practice, you may need a new york CPR training.

Syncope can be as a result of cardiac and respiratory faults. Cardiac causes are hypotension, cardiac arrest, heart failure, dysrrhythmia, myocardial infarction, coronary artery spasm, cardiac tamponade. Pulmonary causes are respiratory failure, gas poisoning, pneumothorax, hyperkalemia, and pulmonary tamponade. Respiratory causes can be as a result drowning, suffocation, drug overdose and so on.

The various diseases already mentioned can disrupt blood flow. They will block the supply of oxygen to the brain resulting in fainting. This has to be avoided to keep the brain healthy because failure to supply the brain with its required amount of oxygen for as little as three minutes can lead to its temporary damage. Permanent damage to the brain occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked for as much as 7 minutes.

The diseases already mentioned are common and they are indications for CPR. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency procedure defined as the restoration of normal blood circulation and ventilation to delicate organs of the body like the brain, heart, and lungs by the use of artificial ventilation with external chest compression.

Many lives have been lost as a result of non-administration of CPR. They would have been saved if it was generally agreed earlier that anyone who has the training can go for it. Precautions must be taken afterward so as prevent cardiopulmonary disease.

Some people may think about browsing the internet to get hints on how to perform this action but this is unquestionably not enough guidance to performing this emergency procedure as this measure in very delicate. Proper medical teaching on this is highly required. The theory and practical explanations on this and possible complications after CPR will be tested. Also, with proper guidance, your cerebral performance category (CPC) scores will be excellent and hence, you are good to go.

Not attending the training means you don't want know how to avoid complications such as sternal fracture, rib fracture, coronary heart disease and lung contusion.
