A certain navicular bone in the foot is a specific small bone in the mid foot. It is located in the instep or in the middle of the foot. In some cases, physicians do not really recommend an open surgical procedures during treating any stress fractures. However, if the bone is stable enough, then the treatment may continue. If it is unstable, there would be a required internal fixation.

Patients who experienced too much agony may also benefit from several types of physical treatments. Your therapist may also design different kinds of exercises to ease the tension in the tendons. Your therapist may also use an orthotics to support and protect the sore and painful area.

In this procedure, you can resume walking. However, you still need to reduce your activities for many weeks in allowing to recover the hurt you suffered. A direct treatment to the painful area also helps to control the hurt. Some of these treatments designed for you is the soft tissue massage or moist heat. Some of the therapy sessions include the use of electrical current. This is intended to push the anti inflammatory medicine.

After the surgery, you are required to take a rest several days and use crutches. Your stitches are removed after ten to fourteen days. You should also be careful and avoid any activities, since you are still in the recovery stage. Usually, it will take six weeks, before you can resume doing your activities.
