By Olivia Cross

When you love horses knowing everything about them becomes second nature. There is so much to know and learn about these amazing animals that you will always be learning something that can assist you with training or just understanding these beasts. Sometimes things can happen where your animal struggles to hear and this is called navicular syndrome.

Having this disease can make it very uncomfortable as this is commonly experienced with inflammations as well as degeneration of the navicular bone which is found on the front of the both the feet. Once you have found out that your animal has this disease you will want to have it treated straight away. Depending on how far alone the syndromes are you might only be able to treat the horse for pain.

Finding the right animal can take a long time and once you have found him or her you will want to make nothing happens to them. It is a good idea to read up on any and all diseases that can affect your pet. This will help you to know what to do when a problem arises, so that you can either treat the problem yourself or call for help.

Knowing the signs will help you to make changes like not working the animal on a hard surface or even the circle as this will lead to pain and cause the feet to change shape. Once you start the treatment you might find that there is not a single treatment that works, this is due to there being other factors that can affect the horse, their age, weight and strength. Things can also happen relatively fast and this will leave the horse lame quiet quickly.

Once the horse has become lame there is nothing besides treating the pain that you can offer the animal. You can also help slow down the degeneration process by trimming, making sure that the horse has proper hoof care, exercise, medication and surgery. This can take a long time and is best to make sure that your animal is being watched carefully by the right people.

If your beast has this certain type of syndrome then it is best to treat it with the right amount of exercise so that it is not over or under using the muscles, ligaments or tendons. This needs to also be done at a slow pace things like taking long walks or swimming can help. Try avoiding any heavy, fast pace work as this can cause pain and suffering which you will want to avoid.

Looking after your horse is the best way to help him. Making sure that they have the right shoes for what you want them to do, as well as being monitored and seen to by a vet on a regular basis especially if there are signs of any degeneration or pain. All these things will be beneficial for you and your animal and let them have a long and healthy life.

Having a beast as a pet is always amazing for anyone. They are there not only to assist you with your troubles but are great workers to. They are powerful beasts and are made to be busy so it is essential to look after your animal with all the right things. In this way they will look after you too.
